Eind november of toch december? Digitimes Taiwan zegt het laatste. Hier de engelstalige samenvatting van Ace's Hardware:
According to this Ctech Taiwan report , Intel will likely relaunch i820 by this coming December, featuring either 2 RIMM slots or 2 DIMM slots onboard. In a related Ctech Taiwan report , ALI, SiS and VIA are saying that they will probably not join in to support Rambust until H2 2000 the earliest. Not too surprisingly, VIA is quoted as saying that Rambust popularity has been crippled by the i820 disaster and that they don't hold an optimistic view about the future of Rambust. SiS is quoted as saying that they have already obtained the rights to Rambust 4 years ago but they are still taking a wait-and-see attitude in supporting Rambust because they don't believe Rambust really benefits the consumers too much. ALI is quoted as saying that the cost of Rambust is too high and so they are unwilling to rush ahead of Intel to support Rambust, and that they don't expect to see increase in Rambust popularity in the short future.
