If you've got a DVD drive but no hardware DVD playback, then you'll love the software playback of the GeForce. It's simply the best of any card I've ever tested. Although the TNT2 and V3 do an admirable job of software DVD playback, you do notice the occasional video glitch, dropped frame, or frame overrun (especially during scene changes). The difference is clearly palpable when running the GeForce. Absolutely zero glitches, dropped frames, overruns, etc. WinDVD detected the hardware motion compensation of the GeForce card, and all playback features of WinDVD worked perfectly.
