Compared to the other wheels I tried (from Act Labs and Microsoft) the Formula Force was beautiful, and truly shined in games with FF enabled. I'll talk about Need For Speed: High Stakes because it is the reference game for perfect FF use, and because I've played it much more than I have Midtown Madness. As far as I'm concerned, all developers who are implementing FF in their games need to play Need For Speed: High Stakes with a good FF wheel. Icy roads in the game feel like icy roads in real life, you even get that sickening feeling as the front end of the car starts to let go, right before you start doing donuts at 85 mph down a mountain road. Wet roads feel like wet roads, and make your wheel handle sluggishly. Even the bumpy cobblestone roads in some of the tracks are accurately modeled. Good force feedback is difficult to quantify with words. It just feels right.
