Fullway heeft een add-on voor de (oude) PSX aangekondig, waarmee het mogelijk wordt om MP3'tjes op het ding af te draaien:
Nestled alongside the SDMI-compliant digital music players this Christmas may be a nifty little toy that the recording industry would classify as more naughty than nice.Taiwanese company Fullway's PSXAMP/MP3 Card for PS, which has already been released in Europe and Japan and could hit U.S. shores in the next few months, is a simple $80 unit that lets Sony PlayStation owners jam MP3 CDs on their game consoles. PlayStation and other game console units already play regular audio CDs. Meanwhile, reseller MP3Enhancer.com is taking pre-orders for the unit.
With PlayStations retailing for $99, that means consumers can get an MP3 home stereo that--oh, yeah--just happens to play Tombraider, for somewhere under $200. That's less than the cost of most portable MP3 players.
