Sharky heeft wat info op zijn site gezet over de Viper 2, de Savage2000 kaart van Diamond. Dit is de soep:
Later on today, Diamond will be officially announcing their Savage 2000+ based Viper 2 series of 2D/3D accelerators. There should be two versions of the card, one with 32MB and another with 64MB of RAM. A price hasn't been determined for the higher end 64MB version but it's looking like at least $250. The 32MB version on the other hand is set for a late October release date and to sell in retail at approximately $200 (probably under). The graphics clock frequency hasn't been pinned down yet to a final speed but it should be between 160-175MHz for the 665M/texel per second fill rate. The 32MB of RAM is set to be clocked at 166MHz. [break]Verder nog wat info over Diamond's Rio 500 en de Xtreme versie van de Savage4 Pro+, die ook allebei deze maand uit zou moeten komen:[/break]In a conference call with Diamond, we were also informed that their Savage4 Pro Xtreme (see preview) will start shipping at the end of this month. The retail price will be set at $99.99 (based upon a $30 rebate).
In other Diamond news, we were told that their follow-up product to the RIO 300, the RIO 500, will begin shipping at the end of this month as well. At $265, it will harbor 64MB of RAM for up to two hours of music, a USB connection and be both PC & MAC compatible.
