Nog een blurp van Betanews:
Some rumors have been floating whether Windows 2000 will drop support for dual Celeron processors, so here's the official word. Windows 2000 will not officially support SMP Celeron machines and no technical support will be given, however using such hardware will not be blocked. Current builds of Windows 2000 read the dual Celerons as Pentium IIs and run them perfectly. If you do not mind losing technical support for such hardware, you should not have a problem once Windows 2000 reaches mainstream use. It is possible this will change before RTM in November, se keep checking back to stay updated.
Zou natuurlijk wel een extreem smerige klotestreek van Bill zijn als-ie Celeron SMP support uit Win2k ript.
