Value. That boosts the price for the regular Sound Blaster Live! to as much as double that of the Live! Value – almost $200 as compared with the normal $100 - with only a minimal gain in my mind.The EMU10K1 chipset that the Live! Value is based on is currently the fastest audio processing chip available on the PC market – at least, that’s what the manufacturer says. The Diamond Monster Sound 3D MX300 from Diamond has more software voices than the Live! Value, but the numbers are so high – 256 voices versus 320 voices – that it hardly matters during normal gameplay.
