"Logitech SoundMan". Puff... dat is lang geleden dat ik daarvan heb gehoord. Maar goed, Logitech is terug met een nieuwere versie van die speakerset. Maar helaas, wederom tegenvallend.
Interestingly enough, Logitech dropped the power output from 50 watts to 40 watts (24 watt subwoofer, 8 watts per satellite), but they bumped up the frequency response from 28-20 Hz to 30-20 Hz, other than that, the features haven't changed a whole lot. Automatic speaker shut off/start up, built-in subwoofer power supply, magnetic shielding, it's all there, but we were expecting more from Logitech's second generation set. These facts shine through when you listen to the quality through this setup, the audio quality is indeed not up to par with the Logitech name. Audio quality was only slightly better than the previous Logitech set, which is a disappointment to say the least. The quality isn't terrible, but could have been greatly improved in the ten months since the first SoundMan line was released. Compared to similar speaker sits from Altec Lansing, Labtec, and Cambridge Soundworks, the Logitech setup left me with the most to be desired.
Enige echte koele aan de speakerset (naast dat het er een is van Logitech) is het uiterlijk:
