Een nieuwe Quake, en een nieuwe Tombraider, dus ook maar een nieuwe Carmageddon...
Details have emerged from UK-based SCi regarding the fall sequel to their controversial racing title, Carmageddon. Titled Death Race 2000, the game, which has been in development for almost two years, features a next-generation engine the company claims can achieve twice the framerate as the original on the same hardware. Additionally, the offering has been developed with a stronger focus on immersive environments and an even higher degree of stomach-churning humor. “The time has come for the victims to get their revenge after three long years of suffering at the hands, or should we say the bumpers, of Max and his psychotic co-drivers,” SCi public relations manager Sam Forrest wrote in a press release. Death Race 2000 is also the first in the series to be designed from the ground up for online competition, and features unique deathmatch arenas and play modes.
