The IR version is really, really much better than the cable version. The glasses are made of hard plastic, unlike the 'toy soldier' plastic that came with the cable version. Even the fit feels better. The glasses are much tighter and stick to your face, while the cable version seems to keep falling off.The most obvious improvement is the IR. I've been running the Revelator cable version for more than a month and one of the most annoying things that can happen is when you get a bit carried away, yank your joystick in the opposite direction and the cable gets caught, pulling the glasses off. Not a very nice experience.
