As you can see, the SCSI version of this DVD drive is quite the performer. Not only does this drive offer the same level of fantastic performance we saw with the IDE version, but it even one-ups the ATAPI / IDE version of the drive with better CPU utilization numbers, which we can only attribute to use of the SCSI-2 interface. We obviously did not experience the problems that many users had with the IDE version not being detected properly by the IDE bus.
