BM on Tuesday set a new record for EIDE drive capacity with the announcement of two lines of hard disks that top out at no less than 34GB and 37GB.The 37GB-capacity Deskstar 37GP is a 5400-rpm drive with a 512KB buffer. With higher performance and a slightly smaller capacity, the 34GXP (at 34GB) spins at 7200 rpm and has a 2MB buffer. Both drives will be available in the fall with expected street prices of $420 each.
