Quite honestly, games running in 32-bit just look better and the majority of hardcore gaming enthusiasts may be willing to take a 15-20% performance hit if it enhances the overall image quality over running in 16-bit. And there are more and more games out there today with support for 32-bit rendering. Frankly speaking, it's a feature almost all 3D-accelerators being developed today will offer and 3Dfx is one the only technology companies left that hasn't supported it yet.
