3DGN heeft een review van The Phantom Menace in elkaar geknutseld. Reviewers waren tot nu toe nogal skeptisch over die spel. 3DGN kan ook niet erg positief zijn:
If you're twelve years old, a gigantic Star Wars junkie (more than me), or are just plain loaded, then get this game. Otherwise, give it a pass. While it's cool fighting droids, ant-eaters, Jawa's and Sith Lords, the game is just one big maze and isn't really worth the time spent. The load times are insanely long as well. In one level, it takes 2 minutes just to load. It took me 30 seconds to die against this boss. Then 2 minutes to load again. This continued for about an hour. VERY annoying. Well, I love Star Wars, so I keep loading up the first level to attack droids with my lightsaber and listen to the cool music, so I'll go back to it now. If you feel like you HAVE to get a Star Wars game, get the racer, which I'll be reviewing in a few short days.
