TNT-2s are differentiated by clock speed; there's apparently going to be a low-cost "Vanta" version with a default core graphics clock speed of 125MHz and a memory clock speed of 150MHz, an upcoming "Ultra" version clocked, by default, at 175 and 200MHz respectively, and a 150/175MHz midrange version too. Or something like that. At present, many of the stock TNT-2 card drivers clock the board, by default, at Vanta speed, although the chips are capable of the midrange speed, and maybe a bit more.
All of this is of special interest to users, because as with other recent graphics chipsets, the TNT's clock speeds can be altered easily with a simple tweaking utility. Of which more later.
