Het Australische TechWatch heeft een review gemaakt van de Flatron 795FT Plus monitor van LG. Deze 17" monitor maakt gebruik van een LG Flatron beeldbuis en heeft een dotpitch van 0,24mm. Bij de maximale resolutie van 1600x1200 kan de 795FT Plus een refreshrate van 75Hz weergeven. In tegenstelling tot z'n opvolger, de 795FT, beschikt de 795FT Plus ook over een 4 poorts USB-hub. De 795FT Plus is vooral bedoeld voor de high-end markt en kan zich qua prijs en prestaties goed meten met bijvoorbeeld de concurrentie van Sony:
The 795FT performs as well as you'd expect from a high end flatscreen CRT monitor. It's flat, the image is crystal clear and there's no bad aftereffects from changing the resolution many times in a short space of time. Gaming and DVD playback are both excellent, and there's not one issue with connecting many devices via its USB hub. I tried alternating between devices in all four ports, and had not one issue with automatic detection nor utilisation.
[...] If you're in the market for a new monitor, or have been looking for a high end monitor, then the LG Flatron 795FT Plus is definitely a monitor you should cast your eyes over. Whilst having everything you'd expect from a flatscreen monitor, LG have done the numbers and added extras for not too much more in price. The USB hub will be a godsend for those who (like me) have big tables where cords won't reach over the back without some designer cable technique.
[...] For its price however (around AU$600), ideally you'd expect such things. It is cheaper mind you than its well-versed Sony counterpart. That aside, the price simply represents the quality of the product in question. With that in mind, I quite happily give this product the thumbs up.
