Layout: The power connectors might cause interference with a 3œ bay in a medium tower ATX style casing and we don't know why AOpen changed some of the I/O ports positions, but we do like the fact that AOpen has put a plate below the CPU socket to facilitate older casings. Everything else about the board looks good 7/10
Features: The onboard LAN is very useful and AOpen also gives you the option to attach a diagnostic LED bay, however, that's pretty much where it ends. There isn't any onboard RAID, or decent sound. Even the BIOS is very standard. 10/15
Stability: Stability under default speeds was as good as they come, however, trying to overclock only resulted in an unstable platform. 15/20
Performance: The AOpen AX4T lost in every benchmark against the MSI 850 Pro 2, however, the difference amongst Office applications was the least between these two boards, thus making us think that the board would perform decently if you're not planning on using it as a games machine. 14/25
Overclocking: If you're lucky enough to have a P4 CPU that runs stable and completes all benchmarks at 133MHz, then you can surely try the AOpen for overclocking. Everyone else should look elsewhere for overclocking. 5/15
Price/Packaging: It's expensive like most P4 motherboards and doesn't offer a plethora of features- not even a USB cable. And the ever-excellent AOpen manual has been moved from paper to electronic format aka the CD. Software wise, Norton Anti-Virus is a good thing. 8/15
Overall experience of reviewer: The AX4T didn't have anything that put me off but then again, it didn't have anything that would make me recommend it either.
