How many times have you been in the middle of a wicked game of Tribes and all of sudden some damn "pure vital function" error has been called? Or you're fragging someone's brains out and then the PC crashes? It's a sickness that plagues that PC and something that the console has been able to overcome. The reason the PC is so damn unstable is because there are so many different developers, manufacturers, drivers, updates, patches, etc. etc. - you name it, there are probably hundreds of variations of it. Taking all of this into account is the painstaking job of the dev. team; they obviously can't perfect everything.
[...] With consoles, it really is just "plug in and play" technology. You don't have to update any drivers, you don't have to download any patches and obviously, you don't have to spend time figuring out if your PC is up to spec if it's going to run the game well (if at all). For ease of use and just "plugging it in and having a good time", the console really does q0wn the PC.
