Bij Technoyard heeft men een review klaarstaan van de Guillemot Maxi Sound MUSE, een geluidskaart voor de gamer met een wat lager budget. De kaart kost namelijk slechts $30, terwijl er toch een paar zeer volwassen features op te vinden zijn, zoals uitgangen voor 4 speakers en DS3D, A3D en EAX support. De geluidskwaliteit blijkt ook nog eens niet mis te zijn; nog net niet zo goed als de SB Live!-serie, maar die zijn dan ook een stuk duurder. De conclusie is, zoals te verwachten, zeer positief. Er zijn wel betere kaarten, maar niet voor deze prijs:
Initially my expectations from this Muse sound card were fairly low hence I didn't expect it to be a tremendous technology break-through with fancy add-ons. This was simply due to its low-end price marking ($ 29.99). However, after testing it rigorously for a couple of days, this device was able to impress me with good solid sound performances, which turned out to be crisp and clear. Both when engaged in demanding games or audio play back. The Muse Sound Card has all what it takes, for a budget conscious low-end thrill seeker.
This is really a very good value for money offer, which is hard to beat. But nevertheless, if you are a high-end thrill seeking gamer with a desire for real rock solid 3D sound then this card won't satisfy your expectations by any means. The SBLive value or the Vortex2 cards would do the trick for you…. Having said that now I'll re-install my SBLive value back….. But bear in mind, if you require a basic high-quality, reliable sound card which is easy on you're pocket, then definitely the Guillemot Maxi Sound Muse is for you… there aren't any other excellent offers on the market yet! No doubt about it!

) waren zeer behulpzaam. Andreas wilde mij zelfs terugbellen/mailen enzovoorts, omdat ik, zeg maar, niet een van die domme, gemiddelde helpdesk-bellers was. Het probleem bleek in m'n mobo te zitten (nooit, maar dan ook NOOOOOOIT meer koop ik bij de Funprice. Ze zijn wel cheap, maar goed, daar krijg je dus ook stront mee. Gebruikte rotzooi enz. Ze vonden me te kritisch toen ik bij m'n 3e mobo maar ff in de winkel ging kijken of 'ie al niet gebruikt was (krasjes rond schroefgaten enz.)).
