Leadtek vond dat er nog niet genoeg GeForce2 videokaarten op de markt waren en besloot daarom een 'Enhanced' versie van de Winfast kaart op de markt te brengen. De kaart heeft die naam meegekregen omdat hij niet zoals de meeste anderen een kopie van nVidia's reference-design is. Hij is uitgerust met 64MB 5.5ns DDR SGRAM, TV-Out en drie sensors die de status van de kaart goed in de gaten houden. Ondanks het unieke koelsysteem en de verhoogde bandbreedte van het SGRAM bleek het nVidia design toch beter te presteren en over te klokken. Toch is de conclusie niet negatief:
Although this doesn’t quite keep up with other cards in its class card, it has shown outstanding overall performance. We found it to have a number of excellent features like Hardware Monitor and a unique cooling system. The one thing that we love to see here at HH is new and unique innovations. The card was easily over-clockable with little heat concerns and ran stable at 250/390MHz. It has been established that FSAA in Quake 3 was a bit too much of a challenge for this card but the results in other games like FAKK2 and MDK2 were stunning. The bottom line is if you’re looking for a better than average performing video card with some unique extra features, you can’t go wrong with the Leadtek Enhanced WinFast GeForce 2 GTS.
