Feeling a bit cocky with these huge sinks, I decided to go for it all and peg the memory clock speed at the highest possible frequency, 420MHz. To my surprise it was completely stable, and managed to complete several hours of Quake 3 demo loop without a crash, though nearing the last half hour of testing I witnessed minor artifacting.
[...] After running the demo loop, I touched the ramsinks to see if they were warm. Unlike the Hercules ramsinks, the Outrageous sinks were nice and toasty. The heatsinks warmth is conclusive proof that these sinks were not just for show, and in fact were aiding in our overclocking success. After a little bit of trial and error I settled on a core clock of 220MHz and a memory clock of 415MHz.
[...] The new kids in the U.S. are poised to sweeten up your summer, with the Outrageous GeFoce2 GTS. The Outrageous card offers the same great features as the other GeForce2 GTS clones out there but adds to them. The Absolute MultiMedia GeForce2 is a hot rod, fitted with beefy ramsinks that do their job very well. The 2d and 3d image quality is on par with other GeForce2 cards out there and since the drivers are basically straight up reference drivers, updates will be available faster. As for the software bundle, there is no competition on the market today for all the great titles Absolute is offering. The Outrageous GeForce2 GTS is a true complete package and is even cheaper then any other GeForce2 offering. The quality of this product is in a word, solid. Absolute MultiMedia has not cut any corners with their initial product to be launched in the U.S., and I think us yanks will be most grateful.
