! I’ve been spending a lot of time with this work of art. I’ve been tweaking this baby ever since the day I got it! Now there is a new BIOS (got it from bxboards.com) that will let you lower the CPU l2 cache speed right in the BIOS! This isn’t the only added feature in the new BIOS… a lot of these things are not documented in the manual. So, I thought I would put together a little bit about what they do and what you should do to them to tweak your system.
To get into your BIOS, you need to hit the [del] key while the system is posting. Press [F10] to exit and save changes. Hold the [insert] key while starting up your machine if you o/c the bus a bit too far and can’t get it to boot.
When first setting up your system, get the system going stable at DEFAULT settings first, then start tweaking, ONE THING AT A TIME, test for stability and make troubleshooting easy, instead of near impossible.
