Okay folks their temporal AA.
go to your D3D registry bit for your ati drivers ( searching for TVContrastDefaultNTSC is a good start ) and add in a string called TemporalAAMultiplier and give it a value of either 2 or 3 .
Their seems like you can set up a fps limit too TemporalAAFrameThreshold .
After doing this you have to restart D3D you can do that one of two ways.
A) restart your machine

go to the d3d section of your vid config to smart shader choose and option and then set it back to no effect and hit apply.
*Oh you might need vsync on too ( VSync = 2 )*
LOL oh yes most important of all you need AA forced and atleast 2x aa
AntiAlias = 2
AntiAliasSamples = 2/4/6
*bloodbob Hugs his 18X AA

Looking to see it in action?
Well it's temporal, so screenshots are impossible to make with it, but there are always movies!

After some tests, I found temporal AA to be very case-specific.
- vsync must be on.
- at 60hz, 1280 x 1024, 2xT / 4xT looks horrible due to flickering and some contrast edges.
- at 80hz, 1280 x 1024 4xT it looks awesome, but even my 9800 pro can't hit those frames at times (80 frames @ sync)
- at 120hz, 1024 x 860, 4xT looks ok, and I suspect this will be the standard resolution for most monitors, as sync is quite high and the resolution isn't too much strain on cards.
I know it sounds kind of iffy, but here's the punchline: There's no hit in performance.
Meaning FPS of 8x anti aliasing, and '16'x temporal anti aliasing is exactly the same.
This includes switching from temporal multipliers:
tempaa 3 and 6x aa - nature score = 36.5fps
tempaa 2 and 6x aa - nature score = 36.4fps

Houd dus in dat temp aa je aa verdubbeld?

Plaatje ervan..
Kweenie, beta drivers hebben mij altijd een beetje afgeschrikt.
Iemand al geprobeerd?
