Software-update: MyDefrag 4.1.1

Jeroen Kessels heeft opnieuw een update uitgebracht van zijn defragmenteerprogramma MyDefrag. Dit programma, dat voorheen de naam JkDefrag droeg, wordt niet langer onder een opensourcelicentie uitgebracht, maar is nog wel gratis te gebruiken. MyDefrag kent één download die automatisch een 32bit- of 64bit-versie installeert en heeft nog steeds het kenmerkende DOS-interface. Het defragmenteerprogramma wordt door scripts aangestuurd en bij de installatie worden diverse standaardscripts meegeleverd, zoals Slow Optimize, Fast Update en Analyze Only. Zoals de kleine sprong in versienummer al aangeeft, bevat deze release alleen kleine veranderingen en verbeteringen:

Changes in version 4.1.1:

• Optimized the subroutine that searches for contiguous fragments.
• Fixed a bug that would prevent the program from running (immediate finish) without a proper error message, if there was a directory called "Settings" anywhere in the path. Also added some extra error messages in case there is a problem executing a script.
• Optimized the subroutine that vacates items out of the way.
• Disabled the OtherInstances(ask) setting for the screensaver.
• The "F1" key now looks for the manual in the installpath, instead of always using "C:\Program Files\MyDefrag v4.X\Manual.chm".
