Software-update: Miranda IM 0.7.0 peview release 6

Miranda IM is een chatprogramma dat standaard verbinding met de netwerken van AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber en IRC kan maken. Meer netwerken en functionaliteit zijn met behulp van plugins toe te voegen, zoals een spamfilter, extra configuratiemogelijkheden, integratie met andere software en het aanpassen van de interface. Gisteren hebben de ontwikkelaars van Miranda IM de zesde preview release van versie 0.7.0 uitgebracht. In deze update is onder meer het gros van de plug-ins klaargestoomd voor gebruik in de 0.7.0-tak. Ook zijn de nodige bugs uit de ondersteuning van ICQ en Jabber gehaald. De release notes zien er als volgt uit:

This release implements an entirely rewritten backend to improve internationalization support. It is therefore highly recommended to run DBTool and use the new “Convert old Unicode messages to UTF8″ feature. Also note that some plugins are no longer compatible with this release and onwards and will not be loaded by the core. Please contact the author of these plugins requesting they be updated.

Note: Do not overwrite your mirandaboot.ini file when upgrading over an existing installation.
