Software-update: Growl 0.7

Growl is een handig programma voor het Mac OS X-platform waarmee de notificaties van meer dan 120 andere programma's op het scherm getoond kunnen worden. Zo kan het programma aMSN bijvoorbeeld een klein pop-upje geven wanneer er iemand online komt en het programma YMail geeft je een pop-upje met de melding dat er nieuwe mail is aangekomen. De ontwikkelaars hebben enige dagen geleden Growl 0.7 de deur uitgedaan met de volgende aankondiging:

Growl 0.7 is now released into the wild! This release includes an awesome new feature, network notifications. Also included is the ability to make displays with CSS/HTML, which we are calling Styles. 0.7 includes several new displays: Crystal, Candybars, and Plain. Finally, 0.7 replaces the Installer package with double-click installation: simply double-click the prefpane on the disk image, and System Preferences will install it for you.
