Devolutions UniGetUI 2026.3.1This release adds a terminal UI, a package policy editor for Devolutions Agent, and lets you choose which package managers a search covers. It also fixes many package manager and interface bugs.
New FeaturesImprovements
- Added a terminal UI. Run
uniget tuito manage packages from a terminal, using the same settings and history as the desktop app. A demo mode (--fake-data) lets you try it without changing anything on your computer.- Added a
unigetcommand-line launcher on Windows, Linux and macOS. The Windows installer has a new optional Add to PATH option.- Added a package policy editor for Devolutions Agent (Windows only). Package broker requests are now checked against the Agent's rules before they're sent.
- You can now choose which package managers a Discover search uses.
- Added an optional download size column to package lists.
- UniGetUI now tells you when a package needs a restart to finish, and you can restart from the app.
- Installs, updates and uninstalls that you start yourself now run before automatic updates waiting in the queue.
- Added support for NuGet and Chocolatey sources that are local folders or network shares.
Bug Fixes
- Downloading installers: you can now set a default folder, see a progress bar with size and speed, and files already on disk are skipped.
- When a WinGet install fails because the app is still running, UniGetUI offers to close the app and retry.
- Redesigned the bundle import security report. Findings are ranked by risk, and you're asked to confirm before importing a bundle with high-risk findings.
- Restored the compact operation cards, and improved scrolling, animations, contrast and text wrapping across the interface.
- The keyboard and screen readers now work with hyperlinks, toggle switches and the sidebar More menu.
- Updated the Italian and Chinese (Simplified) translations.
- Fixed WinGet updates going missing after upgrading from 2026.2.7, and updates targeting the wrong package ID.
- Fixed offered "updates" that were the same as or older than the installed version.
- Fixed missing Scoop updates caused by cut-off package IDs and versions.
- Fixed several PowerShell module install, update and uninstall failures.
- Fixed Pip update checks. They no longer need Python network access, and they now work correctly through the Agent broker.
- Fixed several UAC prompts appearing when "Ask for administrator privileges once for each batch" was on.
- Fixed self-update on system-wide installs, and cargo-binstall self-updates on Windows.
- Fixed the "Loading packages" animation getting stuck, and package selections resetting when a list reloaded.
- Fixed a crash when opening "Available Updates" from the tray icon.
- Fixed window resizing when hardware video acceleration is off, and taps on settings cards being treated as clicks while scrolling on touch screens.
- Fixed Chinese characters showing as squares, and added a bundled UI font on Linux.
- Fixed portable mode still writing Pinget files to %APPDATA%.
- Fixed crashes and Windows-only commands being used on macOS and Linux.
