HP heeft een nieuwe firmware uitgebracht voor de iPaq H4100-familie. Hou er rekening mee dat door het upgraden van de ROM de zogenaamde partnership tussen de iPaq en de pc ongedaan gemaakt wordt en ook alle persoonlijke data verloren gaat. Het is dus aan te raden eerst een backup te maken. Deze update bevat naast de nieuwe ROM en het programma om deze te installeren een tekstbestand waar meer informatie over dit fenomeen staat. Uit de release notes kunnen we opmaken dat het volgende is gewijzigd in 1.00.14:
