Media Player Classic is een open source mediaspeler voor het Windows-platform en is ontwikkeld door de schrijver van VobSub. Het programma is in staat om dvd-films af te spelen, ondertiteling weer te geven en beschikt over vele verschillende opties om het beeld zo perfect mogelijk in te stellen. Ook bevat de speler de mogelijkheid om met behulp van Real Media- en Quicktime-codecs deze formaten af te spelen; de originele speler hoeft dan niet geïnstalleerd te zijn. Versie 6.4.7.0 is sinds kort beschikbaar en heeft het volgende - korte - changelog meegekregen:

- got one sample .bik where the height of the picture was an odd value, which was invalid in the yv12 color space and could produce coloring problems, it was solved by making the height even.
