Soulseek is een P2P-uitwisselingsdienst welke geen ad- of spy-ware bevat. Er wordt echter wel gebruik gemaakt van een centrale server die onder zware belasting nog wel eens wilt uitvallen. Versie 150 is sinds kort beschikbaar en wordt met de volgende release notes geleverd:
The old recommendations system is back and is being tested on the old Isle! Get the client, log in, click the "Things I Like" button and start listing everything and anything you're into, be it anything from artists to television shows to your favorite pornstar. The system will cross-reference and link between related items and once the database is big enough will be able to give you a list of items strongly related to your own as "recommendations". Have fun! and don't be surprised if the server crashes a lot, I'm there to bring it back up.
