Ritlabs heeft na een paar beta's de final versie 2.0 van The Bat! uitgegeven. Deze afgerichte vleermuis is erg goed in het ophalen van e-mail en nieuwsgroepen, zonder last te krijgen van allerlei in de lucht hangende virussen. In de nieuwe release van het programma is een hele sloot verbeterd. De lijst met ondersteunde features ziet er ook in de nieuwe versie weer piekfijn uit:
