Mozilla heeft een update voor versie 59 van zijn webbrowser Firefox uitgebracht, de derde versie gebaseerd op Firefox Quantum. De browser heeft met Quantum niet alleen een nieuw uiterlijk en logo gekregen, ook onder de motorkap is er veel veranderd. Zo zijn de prestaties van de browser engine twee keer zo snel als een Mozilla Firefox van zes maanden geleden, zijn de zoek- en adresbalk gecombineerd en is er veel aan de beveiliging gesleuteld. Als een gevolg daarvan worden zogenaamde legacy extensies niet meer ondersteund. De changelog sinds versie 59 ziet er als volgt uit:

- Users trying to cancel a print around the time it completes will continue to get intermittent crashes (Bug 1441598)
- Broken getUserMedia (audio) on DragonFly, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD. Video chat apps either wouldn't work or be always muted (Bug 1444074)
