Van het programma Licq is versie 1.2.3 uitgebracht. Dit programma is de Linux-versie van het programma ICQ en biedt dezelfde features, zoals SMS, file transfers en chat-sessies met meer dan twee personen. Bovendien heeft deze versie geen last van banners 
. De release notes zien er als volgt uit:
In this release there is v8 full protocol support, chats and files can now be sent through server, the SMS support has been improved, there is full server-side lists support, the urgent and to-list flags were corrected, multi-party chats are working again, there is a new feature to identify other clients, there is a fix for the problem with official clients trying to connect directly to a firewalled Licq that couldn't receive direct connections, various memory leaks and race conditions were fixed, and there are many bugfixes.o Memory leaks fixed.
