Er is een update voor versie 3.55 van de mediaspeler AIMP verschenen. Deze gratis lichtgewichtmediaspeler van Russische makelij heeft ondersteuning voor de populairste muziekformaten. Het uiterlijk heeft wat weg van Winamp en is door middel van skins aan te passen. AIMP heeft een 18-kanaalsequalizer aan boord en ondersteunt plug-ins. Verder kan het programma cd's rippen, muziekbestanden converteren en tags bewerken. In deze release zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:

- Sound Engine: Options Dialog - list of supported formats is populated now on demand, not at Options Dialog initialization

- Playlist - the remove file confirmation dialog does not restore focus after closing
- Tag Editor - album art from ID3v2.4 tag cannot be read in some cases
- Tag Editor - file in FLAC format cannot be read by player, if embedded CUE has been remove via AIMP Tag Editor
- Plugins - The Information Line flashes on display, if it has been hidden by mouse before that
