Bron: PCI-Z

Changes in version 1.3:
  • Significant code changes and speedups
  • All database transactions are dealt with through memory
  • "Error message" column no longer appears if there is no errors/problems with devices
  • Added devices class detection
  • Added ability to sort columns
  • Fixed bug where part of menu was left when screenshot was taken
  • CLI output is now more lspci-like

Dear friends,

sorry I write in English but I do not know Dutch; in any case, since I am the author, I am so glad you like the tool - perhaps you could consider changing the screenshot you provided since version 1.3 has some new GUI features!

In any case, I am at disposal in case you have any questions or issues.

With my very best,

Dear Banelli

Thank you for this smart program, and its actually something i never understood that it was not done this way before, or even why it was not integrated in Windows Update or so.

Using PCI ID is suds a strait forward, and simple the best solution for selecting the right driver.
Dear player-x,

to be honest, one of the reasons I created PCI-Z was that I got stunned by the fact that in 2014. that was still not done.

I was missing "good old" lspci for Windows, and PCI-Z in its bare essence is exactly that, even more resembling to lspci by using the same database. But in addition, I am combining both CLI and GUI in same file, allowing users to choose output they would like.

With using recognizable "-Z" nomenclature with permission of CPU-Z author, I am glad that people are starting recognizing it as a useful tool.

Global picture implies users interaction with The PCI ID Repository that could have much higher reach by allowing simple usage for Windows users, enabling much broader spectrum of different hardware that can be recognized by the database, allowing higher quality output for all utilities using that database, whether it is lspci for *nix, PCI-Z for Windows or some alternative (for which I frankly do not know, by this moment).

With my best,

Bruno Banelli

Erg handig programma voor als je eens een PC moet installeren, waarvan onbekend is welke hardware er in zit.
@bbanelli: You served us a great job with this little tool.

Most of the software (in this category) works on base of Shareware: Free to install and scan, but going futher require to pay an amout of money. It feels almost like having a piece of 'randsomware'.

Does the tool also include a quick pick to FE Google?
Greetings D_Jeff,

thank you for your feedback; could you clarify your question regarding "including a quick pick to FE Google", I must admit I didn't quite catch you there...

With my best,

Bruno Banelli
