Software-update: Q-Dir 5.97

Software OK heeft een nieuwe versie van Q-Dir uitgebracht. Q-Dir is een gratis filemanager. Het ziet er een beetje uit als Windows Verkenner, maar dan met vier schermen, waardoor het eenvoudig is om bestanden te verplaatsen, beheren of bekijken. Dit verklaart ook meteen de naam; de Q staat voor quad. Het programma is slechts een paar honderd kilobyte groot en in verschillende talen te gebruiken, waaronder het Nederlands. Sinds de vorige vermelding in de Meuktracker zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:

• Optionally, the system default navigational sound can be used via Menu, Tools, List-View.

Q staat voor Quad, maar je kunt zelf bepalen hoeveel je er wilt hebben en in welke layout. De Q staat dus voor maximaal 4 schermen.
Ik gebruik niet anders meer. Heerlijk eenvoudig en maximaal 4 (ik meestal 3) schermen overzichtelijk in 1 scherm!

Ik houd het wel bij Total Commander, werkt een stuk sneller, en als je de keyboard shortcuts kent, zelfs extreem snel.

Total Commander en Directory Opus zijn beide wel betaald. Ik ken dit programma niet, maar gebruik zelf Unreal Commander.

Ziet er best wel handig uit Ik moet binnenkort weer eens verder met de backup harddisk uitzoeken en dan moet ik bestanden van directory X kopieren naar meerdere andere directories. Geen gedoe meer met window resizing enzo.
