Versie 2.71 van AirDC++ is uitgekomen. AirDC++ is een p2p-programma waarmee bestanden via het Direct Connect-netwerk kunnen worden gedeeld. Het is een alternatief voor programma's als DC++ en StrongDC++, waarop het deels gebaseerd is. AirDC++ heeft echter meer mogelijkheden en wordt ook actiever ontwikkeld. Naast AirDC++ versie 2.71 is er met versienummer 1.03 ook een update van de Linux-client, die onder de naam AirDC++ nano aangeboden wordt, uitgekomen. Sinds versie 2.63 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen doorgevoerd:
