Software-update: Notepad++ 6.1.7

Versie 6.1.7 van Notepad++ is uitgekomen. Deze uitgebreide teksteditor heeft diverse mogelijkheden die vooral voor programmeurs handig zijn, zoals syntax-highlighting voor onder andere C, C++, Java, html, xml en php. Ook biedt het programma de mogelijkheid om meer dan één document tegelijk te bewerken of zelfs één document op twee verschillende plaatsen te onderhouden.

Wil je de nieuwste versie gebruiken, dan zul je die zelf moeten ophalen. De ingebouwde updater van Notepad++ biedt updates namelijk pas 15 dagen na hun verschijnen aan, om eventuele ernstige bugs nog te kunnen oplossen. In deze release zijn de volgende bugfixes doorgevoerd:

• Fix a crash issue on save as command.
• Fix saving file fails silently bug.
• Fix a buffer overflow bug.
• Add case sensitive option for smart highlighting feature.
• Enhance the localization system.
• Fix a behavior issue on Windows shutdown.
• Enhance comment operations: add stream Uncomment command and cross-calling of block feature.
• Enhance TAB to space and space to TAB commands.

Eindelijk! Ik deed ondertussen al niet eens meer moeite om de configuratie aan te passen. Ik was hem minstens 2x per week kwijt, en niet alleen door Windows Update.
