Versie 3.3.9 van Maxthon is uitgekomen. Deze webbrowser maakt gebruik van de Trident of WebKit-engine om webpagina's weer te geven, maar heeft een eigen interface met allerlei extra functionaliteit, waaronder mouse gestures en onlinebookmarks. In versie 3.0 is de IE-engine Trident nog steeds aanwezig, maar wordt standaard de WebKit-engine gebruikt. Deze wordt onder andere gebruikt door Apples Safari en Googles Chrome. Er kan eenvoudig tussen beide engines worden gewisseld. Het changelog van deze release laat verbeteringen zien bij het renderen van afbeeldingen en bevat verder een kleine verzameling bugfixes.
