Software-update: URD 1.3.0

Versie 1.3.0 van URD is uitgebracht. URD staat voor Usenet Resource Downloader. Met dit programma kunnen bestanden van usenet worden gedownload. Dat kan door gebruik te maken van nzb-bestanden, maar het programma is ook in staat om zelf een nieuwsgroep te analyseren en een downloadset te genereren voor een specifieke verzameling bestanden. URD wordt ontwikkeld voor Linux en BSD, en wordt onder een opensourcelicentie uitgebracht. Het changelog van deze release ziet er als volgt uit:

• dashboard will now show server names in threads

Waarom verbaast het je niet? Beetje onderbouwing met zo'n mening is wel handig voor andere lezers. Ik ken het programma niet maar ben wel benieuwd...

De naam, het logo... dat geeft een beetje underground kiddy-achtige indruk weg. Een beetje warez-stijltje. Dat geeft ook weer aan waar de maker(s) het voor bedoeld hebben.
