Versie 1.4.0 van URD is uitgebracht. URD staat voor Usenet Resource Downloader. Met dit programma kunnen bestanden van usenet worden gedownload. Dat kan door gebruik te maken van nzb-bestanden, maar het programma is ook in staat om zelf een nieuwsgroep te analyseren en een downloadset te genereren voor een specifieke verzameling bestanden. URD wordt ontwikkeld voor Linux en BSD, en wordt onder een opensourcelicentie uitgebracht. Het changelog van deze release ziet er als volgt uit:
