De 
Mozilla Foundation heeft een bèta van Thunderbird-versie 11.0 uitgebracht. Mozilla Thunderbird is een opensource-client voor mail en nieuwsgroepen, met features als ondersteuning voor verschillende mail- en newsaccounts, een junkmailfilter, spellingscontrole en een aanpasbaar uiterlijk. In versie 11 verhuizen de tabbladen naar boven de toolbar, is er een nieuwe wizard die helpt bij het aanmelden van nieuwe accounts en zien we verder verbeteringen met betrekking tot junkmail.
