Smartsoft heeft versie 4.0 build 1217 van zijn ftp-client SmartFTP uitgebracht. SmartFTP is een zeer uitgebreide ftp-client. Het biedt onder andere ondersteuning voor beveiligde verbindingen via tls en ssl, communicatie van server naar server via fxp, foutcontrole via xcrc, en verschillende nat- en upnp-omgevingen. Het programma is verkrijgbaar in de smaken home en professional. De laatste biedt als extra's onder andere secure-ftp, bestandsversleuteling en het kunnen gebruiken van scripts. Hieronder is te vinden wat er allemaal is veranderd sinds de vorige vermelding in de Meuktracker.
