Software-update: Cyberduck 4.1.3 build 9045

Versie 4.1.3 van Cyberduck is uitgekomen. Dit programma, dat onder een gpl-licentie wordt uitgebracht, is een ftp-, sftp- en webdav-client, en heeft daarnaast ondersteuning voor diverse cloudopslagdiensten die van S3 of de OpenStack-api gebruikmaken. Het programma beschikt over een overzichtelijke interface en ondersteunt technieken als Spotlight, Bonjour, Keychain, Applescript en Growl. Daarnaast kun je gebruikmaken van verschillende, al geïnstalleerde teksteditors, waaronder BBEdit, TextWrangler, TextMate, Mi, Smultron en CSSEdit. Cyberduck is in een groot aantal talen te gebruiken, waaronder het Nederlands. Sinds versie 4.0 is er naast de Mac OS X-versie ook een Windows-client. Nadat versie 4.0 is verschenen, zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen doorgevoerd:

Wat zo verbazingwekkend is.. Van de website kun je gewoon downloaden.. maar in de App Store kost 18,99 euro... beetje jammer

The presence of Cyberduck is important for the visibility of the project in particular for new and average users on the Mac platform. The caveat is that the donation key model is not supported in the App Store per the developer agreement. Software asking for voluntary contributions does not get approved. We have therefore opted to distribute Cyberduck in the App Store for a fixed price with no donation prompt. It is your choice to buy the version from the App Store or download from the website and opt in for a payment if you feel like. Cyberduck is libre (FLOSS) software and will remain so in the future.

Your purchase receipt from the App Store version is copied to the Application Support folder and recognized as a key when running any version of Cyberduck.
