Versie 1.138 van Xfire is uitgekomen, als opvolger van versie 1.133. Met dit programma kunnen spelfanaten zowel in als buiten games via tekst en spraak met elkaar chatten. Daarnaast is het in een aantal spellen mogelijk om screenshots te maken en filmpjes op te nemen. Verder worden uitgebreide statistieken van de prestaties in de diverse games bijgehouden en is te zien welke games de mensen uit de contactenlijst aan het spelen zijn. Via het eigen p2p-netwerk zijn patches en demo's te downloaden. Het changelog voor versie 1.138 ziet er als volgt uit:

- Due to a change with Twitter’s API, we have temporarily disabled it in the social network manager
