Mede8er heeft voor de derde keer in korte tijd een nieuwe firmware uitgebracht voor de MED500X2-mediaspeler. Deze opvolger van de MED500 is opgebouwd rondom een Realtek 1185-mediaprocessor en de speler beschikt over diverse functionaliteit, zoals gigabit-lan, usb 3,0 en ondersteuning voor 3TB grote harde schijven. De firmware heeft versienummer 1.0.3 meegekregen en is 133MB groot. De releasenotes voor deze versie zijn hieronder te vinden.

- You can still use Bing with the standard Remote but with Google you must use a USB Keyboard
- Google bump users to local Google address and this has caused an issue in that you cannot Return with a USB Keyboard
