Firmware-update: Mede8er MED500X2 1.0.2

Mede8er heeft kort na het uitkomen van 1.0.1 opnieuw een nieuwe firmware uitgebracht voor de MED500X2-mediaspeler. Deze opvolger van de MED500 is opgebouwd rondom een Realtek 1185-mediaprocessor en de speler zit boordevol moderne snufjes, zoals gigabit-lan, usb 3,0 en ondersteuning voor 3TB grote harde schijven. De firmware heeft versienummer 1.0.2 meegekregen en is 132MB groot. De releasenotes voor deze versie zijn hieronder te vinden.

Changes in version 1.0.2:

• PGA Subtitles not working on m2ts files - Fixed
• Crash when manually setting or unsetting the watched indicator when you are on page2 or higher in 'List View' or 'Preview View' - Fixed
• Internet Radio – Channel text colour ie http://............ Colour should be R195 G195 B195 - Fixed
• Watched indicator does not show after you watched the video. Need to exit and return to see the watched status.- Fixed
• Goto on a BDMV/BDISO and Next/Previous chapter buttons the Chapter Number do not chnage. Fixed
• about.jpg -- now also read ‘About.jpg’ ‘ABOUT.jpg’ - Fixed
• Slideshow over Samba and background music over Samba -- ‘invalid’ warning
  The SDK can only mount one root path from Samba or NFS so the picture and the music folder must be in the same root folder and must on same PC. ie
  • /BIGBOY3 ---your PC
  • /BIGBOY3/AAA ---root folder
  • /BIGBOY3/AAA/pictures
  • /BIGBOY3/AAA/musics
• Crash when navigating certain a network shares and pressing the ‘Menu’ button - Fixed
• Favourite to radio station .pls file crash - Fixed
• After video play the focus always goes back to the first file in the folder - Fixed
• USB Keyboard commands ie Esc, YouTube XL Zoom, Colour buttons - Fixed
• Changed ‘Show Movie Info’ to default ‘on’ after firmware update.
• Random crashing - Fixed

Ik wilde net de update naar versie 1.02 zetten toen ik deze update zag

The reason for this is
*You can still use Bing with the standard Remote but with Google you must use a USB Keyboard
*Google bump users to local Google address and this has caused an issue in that you cannot Return with a USB Keyboard

En is de stabiliteit nu beter dan bij 1.0.0? Het is dat wat me nog tegen houdt deze aan te schaffen.

Ben ik ook benieuwd naar .... de apparaten verschillen weinig tot niets ... maar Mede8er is wel veel beter qau software.

De firmware installeert prima en draait goed, ik heb sinds deze release weer geluid bij al mijn .ts files.
