Er is een nieuwe ontwikkelversie van Rainlendar verschenen. Met dit programma is het mogelijk om een kalender op de desktop weer te geven. Rainlendar is beschikbaar voor Windows, Linux en Mac OS X, en is volledig naar eigen hand te zetten. Zo zijn de taal en het uiterlijk aan te passen, kan er een alarm worden ingesteld en kan er een todo-list worden bijgehouden. Rainlendar is beschikbaar in een gratis Lite-uitvoering en een betaalde Pro-versie. Laatstgenoemde, die ongeveer 10 euro kost, biedt de mogelijkheid om de kalender te delen en heeft ondersteuning voor synchronisatie met Outlook en Google Calendar. Hieronder is te vinden wat er in deze release allemaal is veranderd.

- It's now possible to limit the number of past events read from the Google Calendar.
- Changing the start date in the to do editor didn't update the recurrence choises correctly.

- Window fading is disabled on Linux because it sometimes causes the windows to stay fully transparent.
- Google and RTM calendars could crash if offline file was used.

- Initial support for Google Tasks.
The functionality in Google Tasks is really simple which means most of the fields don't work (incl. recurrence, alarms and categories). Also since Rainlendar doesn't support subtasks everything is shown as a single list. There also seems to be really strict limitations for the server access which if true will make this feature pretty much useless.
