Microsoft heeft een nieuwe versie van de Sysinternals Suite de deur uit gedaan. Dit pakket is een verzameling handige tools waarmee systemen kunnen worden beheerd en uitgebreide informatie over de computer kan worden ingewonnen. Zo kunnen allerlei problemen worden opgespoord en verholpen. De afzonderlijke tools worden ontwikkeld door Mark Russinovich en Bryce Cogswell, in eerste instantie voor Sysinternals en tegenwoordig dus voor Microsoft. Enkele voorbeelden zijn Process Explorer, Bginfo, Contig en Diskmon. In totaal gaat het om een verzameling van 66 verschillende tools. Sinds de vorige vermelding in de Meuktracker zijn de volgende onderdelen in de Suite bijgewerkt:
Process Explorer v14.1:
This update to Process Explorer introduces cycle-based CPU usage on Windows 7, shows usage for processes that consume less than 0.01% CPU, shows thread ideal processors on Windows 7, and adds the ability to remote control and connect to other logon sessions.
VMMap v3.03:
This release to VMMap, a process memory analysis utility, adds a count of free blocks and fixes bugs that prevented the 32-bit process fragmentation view from showing on 64-bit Windows.
ProcDump v3.03:
ProcDump, a command-line process dump generation tool, has an algorithm for generating minidump plus dumps that improves capture time by up to ten times and fixes a bug with the way arguments are processed for the -x option.
Autologon v3.01:
This version enables the /accepteula swtich.
VMMap v3.02:
This release fixes several bugs.
WinObj v2.22:
A number of bugs, including on affecting sorting, are fixed in this update.
