Het opensource-instantmessagingprogramma Miranda IM is bijgewerkt naar versie 0.9.16. Miranda IM is een licht maar uiterst configureerbaar multi-platform chatprogramma en wordt alleen voor Windows ontwikkeld. Het biedt standaard ondersteuning voor ICQ, irc, MSN, AIM, Jabber en Yahoo. Zowel de functionaliteit als het uiterlijk van het programma kan met honderden verschillende add-ons en plug-ins naar eigen wens worden aangepast en uitgebreid. In deze release zijn een zevental problemen verholpen.
